Description:
C-LecRLKs are characterized by the extracellular calcium-dependent carbohydrate-binding domain (Vaid et al., 2013). Plant genomes generally possess dozens of G-LecRLKs and L-LecRLKs, but typically only one C-LecRLK. The C-lectin domains are mainly found in mammalian proteins that mediate innate immune responses. However, the functions of plant C-LecRLKs remain largely elusive to date. The hidden Markov model (HMM) PF00059 was used for the C-LecRLK classification.
