Description:
LysM-RLK is another lectin RLK family that contains extracellular LysM domains. Multiple ligands from bacteria and fungi have been shown to be perceived by the LysM domains, including chitin, b-glucans, peptidoglycans, and lipopolysaccharide (Yang et al., 2022). Thus, LysM-RLKs play dual roles in plant immunity and in the establishment of the arbuscular mycorrhizal and rhizobium-legume symbioses (Zhang et al., 2021). The hidden Markov model (HMM) PF01476 was used for the LysM-RLK classification.
