Description:
Thaumatin-like proteins belong to the pathogenesis-related 5 (PR5) superfamily. In 1996, the RLK PR5K that contains an extracellular thaumatin-like was reported in Arabidopsis (Wang et al., 1996). This family generally has few representatives and not widespread in plant genomes. The hidden Markov model (HMM) PF00314 was used for the Thaumatin classification.
